Description
This is used to take all the slop out of the seed boot. This is unlike any other part that firms up the seed boot, because If you are not changing your boots, then you don’t even have to remove the boot to install it, which saves you quite a bit of down time. It is also by far the easiest to install.
After many acres of use the seed boot holes and the holes on the row unit start to increase in diameter causing the boots to get sloppy. This part braces the bolt against the row unit eliminating practically all future row unit wear. This brace is not only good for holes that are worn but also for a new drill so the holes will never wear. The Seed Boot Brace comes in either 7/16″ or a 12mm bolts. The 12mm bolt would be used if you already have worn holes on the row unit, and also if you are using used boots that are still good. 12mm is slightly larger in diameter from the 7/16″ in order to fill already worn holes. The block, jam bolt, and jam nut are lifetime parts that will not wear out. Only the bolt that fastens the seed boot to the row unit needs to be replaced, usually when you install new boots.
